Colvin Run Awarded Position on MDA’s SHIELD

Colvin Run Networks has been awarded a prime position on the Missile Defense Agency’s Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) IDIQ, a major new contract vehicle to develop and deliver next-generation missile defense capabilities.

SHIELD is part of the “Golden Dome for America” initiative and is focused on building a layered, multi-domain defense architecture across air, space, cyber, and hybrid domains. The mission: rapidly integrate advanced technologies like AI, digital engineering, and open systems to defend against evolving threats, including hypersonic and cruise missiles.

Colvin Run is contributing two core capabilities that directly align with SHIELD’s priorities:

  • IRONCLAD delivers container-native, zero-trust AI/ML capabilities to the tactical edge. Built for resilience in disconnected or contested conditions, it provides mission-specific apps like language translation and anomaly detection, supported by GitOps pipelines, signed artifacts, and policy-as-code enforcement. IRONCLAD compresses time-to-field and enables secure model deployment across hybrid and classified domains.

  • Copia transforms fragmented supply chain data into structured, actionable insights. Using encrypted data vaults, machine-assisted anomaly detection, and verifiable credentials, it increases visibility, strengthens sourcing confidence, and supports continuous risk scoring without compromising proprietary data. Copia’s modular design allows seamless integration across SHIELD’s ecosystem.

Both solutions reflect the core SHIELD values: speed, security, and interoperability. With a proven track record on Navy and Air Force efforts, and a focus on real-world deployment over theoretical capability, Colvin Run is ready to support MDA’s vision for integrated, resilient, and data-driven missile defense.

We’re proud to help shape the future of layered defense for the United States and its allies.
